This contract will settle (expire) at 100 ($10.00) if the individual named in the contract wins American Idol.
The contract will settle (expire) at 0 ($0.00) if the individual named in the contract does not win American Idol.
Expiry will be based on the the official winner of the contest, as announced on American Idol.
The market will be expired as follows:
The contracts for those contestants who did not make the final thirteen will remain open until March 24th (Top 10 Finalists Results show). At that time those contestants that did not make the final thirteen will be expired at 0.
The contracts for the final thirteen will then remain open until the final winner has been announced. Once the winner is announced the contract for the winning individual will be expired at 100 and all other contracts at 0.
These delays in expiring eliminated contestants is to cover the possibility that any previously departed contestant (either voluntarily or non-voluntarily) will be reinstated to the show at a later date.
If any new contestant(s) join the show new contracts will be listed for these contestants.
Should there be two official winners, both relevant contracts will expire at 50. Should there be three official winners the relevant contracts will expire at 33 etc.
Should the rules or the nature or timing of the contest change, the Exchange reserves the right to immediately amend these rules accordingly.
Any changes to the result after the contract has expired will not be taken into account - Contract Rule 1.4
Due to the nature of this prediction market contract you are obligated to read Contract Rule 1.7 (Unforeseen Circumstances) and Contract Rule 1.8 (Time Protection). Intrade may invoke these rules in its absolute discretion if deemed appropriate.
