The Exchange has now listed contracts on who will be the Vice-Presidential nominees to contest the 2008 Presidential elections for the Democrats and Republicans. These can be found under Politics -- US 08 Elections -- 2008 Democratic/Republican Vice-Pres Nominee.
A
contract will expire at 100 if the person
named in the contract is announced as the Vice-Presidential nominee for
their party to contest the 2008 Presidential elections. The
contract will
expire at 0 if the person named in the contract is not announced as the
Vice-Presidential nominee.
Expiry will be based on the official, public
announcement of the Vice-Presidential nominees, as reported and verified in
three independent and reliable media sources.
Any change to the result after the contract has
expired will not be taken into account - Exchange Rule
1.4.

The Exchange reserves the right to invoke Contract Rule 1.8 (Time Protection) if deemed
appropriate.
