US MILITARY ACTION AGAINST NORTH KOREA
Contracts based on the possibility of US military action against North
Korea are now open on the Exchange under Current Events --- North Korea.
The contract will expire at 100 if the United States conducts an overt
military action against North Korea, either within or outside of North Korean
territory, on or before 11:59:59pm ET on or before the date specified in the
contract. The contract will expire at 0 if no overt military action is taken.
Any action must be officially and publicly announced by an official or
agency of the United States government and reported in three independent and
reputable media sources before the contract will be expired at 100.
Overt military action is defined as any military attack on North Korean
military or civilian targets or infrastructure by United States naval, air or
ground forces. This includes any defensive or retaliatory actions.
Covert
action taken by US military or intelligence agencies that is not officially and
publicly announced by an agency or official of the United States government and
reported in three independent and reputable media sources will not be considered
for expiry purposes.
Any military blockade undertaken by the United
States against North Korea or any inspection of North Korean vessels conducted
by the United States military will not be considered an overt military
action.
If US forces are involved in a joint overt military action with
armed forces from other countries the contract will expire at 100.
In the
event of an action commencing before midnight on the expiration date, but not
executed until after midnight that contract will be expired at 0 as actual
military engagement must take place in order for an overt military action to
have occurred.

The
Exchange reserves the right to invoke Contract Rule 1.8
(Time Protection) if deemed appropriate
