New Prediction Market: Will Arizona immigration law take effect as scheduled?

On 6 July 2010 the Department of Justice filed suit in the US District Court of Arizona to block the implementation of Arizona's controversial immigration law (Arizona SB 1070), which is scheduled to take effect 29 July 2010.

Contract Rules:

This contract will settle (expire) at 100 ($10.00) if Arizona SB 1070 takes effect before midnight ET 31 Jul 2010.

The contract will settle (expire) at 0 ($0.00) if Arizona SB 1070 does not takes effect before midnight ET 31 Jul 2010.

Expiry will be based on public statements from Arizona state officials regarding the law, as reported by three independent and reliable media sources.

If the law does take effect the contract will be expired at 100 at that time, if not is will be expired at 0 at midnight ET 31 Jul 2010.

Any changes to the result after the contract has expired will not be taken into account - Contract Rule 1.4
