New Prediction Market: Next US Supreme Court Justice

Following the retirement of Justice John Paul Stevens, Intrade has opened a market for who will be sworn in as the next US Supreme Court justice.

This market can be found under Legal > Supreme Court.

Contract Rules:

A contract will settle (expire) at 100 ($10.00) if the individual named in the contract is sworn in as the next justice of the Supreme Court of the United States.

A contract will settle (expire) at 0 ($0.00) if the individual named in the contract is not sworn in as the next justice of the Supreme Court of the United States.

Expiry will be based on the official swearing in of the next justice, as reported by three independent and reliable media sources. The market will not be expired until the next justice has officially been sworn in as a member of the Supreme Court.

IMPORTANT: This market is not linked for margining purposes. You will be margined individually on each position held - both long and short.

The Exchange reserves the right to invoke Contract Rule 1.8 (Time Protection) if deemed appropriate.

Any changes to the result after the contract has expired will not be taken into account - Exchange Rule 1.4
