The US Air Force is looking to buy $40 billion of aerial refuelling tankers. Intrade has listed a market for who will be awarded contract to supply the Air Force with these aircraft.
This market can be found under Business -- Defense Contracts.
Contract Rules:
A contract will settle (expire) at 100 ($10.00) if the company or companies named in this contract are awarded the contract to supply the Air Force with new aerial refuelling tankers.
A contract will settle (expire) at 0 ($0.00) if the company or companies named in this contract are not awarded the contract to supply the Air Force with new aerial refuelling tankers.
Expiry will be based the official awarding of the contract by the US Air Force, as reported by three independent and reliable media sources.
This market will be expired when the contract has been awarded. Any subsequent changes to the awarding of the contract will not affect the original expiry.
If the Air Force award the contract jointly to Boeing and Northrop Grumman/Airbus then each contract will be expired at 50.0.
NOTE: Northrop Grumman and Airbus are listed together in the same contract as they previsouly lodged a joint bid for the contract. Their contract will expire at 100 if either of these companies wins the contract, either individually or as a joint bid.

The Exchange reserves the right to invoke Contract Rule 1.8 (Time Protection) if deemed appropriate.
Any changes to the result after the contract has expired will not be taken into account - Exchange Rule 1.4
