Intrade has opened a market on the winner of the Oscar for best picture at the 82nd Academy Awards.
This market can be found under Entertainment -- Academy Awards.
Contract Rules:
A contract will settle (expire) at 100 ($10.00) if the movie named in the contract wins the Oscar for Best Picture at 82nd Academy Awards.
A contract will settle (expire) at 0 ($0.00) if the movie named in the contract does not win the Oscar for Best Picture at 82nd Academy Awards.
Expiry will be based on the official award for best picture as announced at the Academy Awards ceremony on March 7th 2010.
This market is not linked for margining purposes. You will be margined individually on each position - both long and short.
When the nominations for best picture have been announced those movies not nominated will be expired at 0 and the contracts for those movies nominated will then be linked for margining. Nominations will be announced on February 2nd 2010.

The Exchange reserves the right to invoke Contract Rule 1.8 (Time Protection) if deemed appropriate.
