Intrade has listed a market on who will be elected Chancellor of Germany after the 2009 Federal Election.

Contract Rules:

A federal election is scheduled for 27th September 2009 to elect the members of the Bundestag, the federal parliament of Germany. Following this election the Chancellor of Germany is then elected by the Bundestag.

A contract will settle (expire) at 100 ($10.00) if the named individual is elected Chancellor of Germany by the Bundestag after the 2009 Federal Election

A contract will settle (expire) at 0 ($0.00) if the named individual is not elected Chancellor of Germany by the Bundestag after the 2009 Federal Election

Expiry will be based on the official outcome of the election of the Chancellor, as reported by three independent and reliable media sources.

The Exchange reserves the right to invoke Contract Rule 1.8 (Time Protection) if deemed appropriate.

Any changes to the result after the contract has expired will not be taken into account - Exchange Rule 1.4
