Will the Employee Free Choice Act become law?

We have opened a market on the Employee Free Choice Act becoming law in the United States. This market can be found under Politics -- US Congress.

Contract Rules:

This contract will settle (expire) at 100 ($10.00) if the Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA) becomes law before midnight of the date specified in the contract.

The contract will settle (expire) at 0 ($0.00) if the Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA) does not become law before midnight of the date specified in the contract.

Expiry will be based on the official passage of the EFCA into law, as reported by three independent and reliable media sources.

The EFCA will become law if:

1. The President signs the bill into law
2. Congress overrides a Presidential veto of the bill
3. The President takes no action on the passed bill for ten-days while Congress is in session

The Exchange reserves the right to invoke Contract Rule 1.8 (Time Protection) if deemed appropriate.

Any changes to the result after the contract has expired will not be taken into account - Exchange Rule 1.4
