The safety and security of the funds in your account and your personal
information is our top priority.
Here are some questions that you should ask.
Are my funds and personal information secure?
Yes. Trust, security and confidentiality are cornerstones of our service at Intrade.
Our systems hold your account data in tightly secured data centres and we use industry
standard encryption systems. Customer funds are held in designated bank accounts with
banks in Ireland, and are held separate to Intrade's own corporate funds.
Customers who deposit greater than $50,000 can request us to open a specific bank account
in their name and will receive interest on their balance. Contact
help@intrade.com for
further details on this service.
I want to withdraw some money. How can I do this?
You simply go to the My Account page and select the method of
withdrawal you wish to use. All withdrawals must be requested online to
minimize the chance of unauthorized withdrawal requests.
How much can I withdraw?
You can withdraw your total available fund balance at any time.
What type of encryption technology do you use?
We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL). Once you are logged in, we use
128 bit secure HTTP (https) for transmission of all private information
between your PC and Intrade. Encryption technology ensures that any
data passing between us cannot be snooped. We use security certificates
from recognizable authorities.. Your browser will display a padlock in
the status bar whenever you are in an https encrypted transmission.
How secure are my bank details?
Intrade takes your security very seriously and consequently we ensure
that all sensitive information is kept encrypted on our customer
database. We do not keep a digital copy of the entire account number of
your bank, credit card intact, hence the requirement for you to type in
the last 4 digits when you elect to add or use a card for payment. All
transmissions between Intrade and our card payment processor partners
are private and issued over SSL.
What user account authentication do you use?
We use a combination of Username and Password for user
authentication. For security reasons, you will automatically be logged
off after a period of inactivity.
